Le Figaro named Publisher of the Year by Stratégies

Le Figaro has been named Publisher of the Year by Stratégies as part of the 2026 Grand Prix de l’Innovation Média, in recognition of the celebrations marking the newspaper's 200th anniversary.
This distinction rewards far more than a milestone anniversary. It acknowledges Le Figaro's ability to combine heritage and innovation, editorial excellence and collective ambition.
The bicentenary celebrations, held from January 14 to 16 at the Grand Palais, brought together readers, advertisers, business leaders, artists and public figures around exhibitions, conferences and special editorial initiatives. Nearly 60,000 visitors attended the event, which also generated strong commercial and audience performances for the Group.
Driven by the exceptional visibility generated by Le Figaro's 200th anniversary celebrations - described internally as the most significant information campaign undertaken by the Group in the past twenty years - Le Figaro surpassed 335,000 digital subscribers, representing a 15% increase, nearly twice its usual growth rate. During this period, the Group recorded up to 240 million monthly visits and several days exceeding 8 million visits, allowing Le Figaro to expand well beyond its traditional audiences and further strengthen its position as one of France's leading news brands.
The announcement was also relayed through editorial coverage by Stratégies, further reinforcing the visibility of this recognition within the French media and advertising industry.
