Cairo Ad School Secures Global Recognition

Cairo Ad School has received accreditation from the International Advertising Association (IAA), becoming the first occupational, non-degree advertising education institute in the Middle East, North Africa, and Africa to receive this recognition.

The accreditation also places the school among a very limited number of institutions globally. According to Enas Reshwan founder of Cairo Ad School, it is the second occupational, non-degree advertising education institute worldwide to receive IAA accreditation and the first outside Asia.

The IAA accreditation process assesses educational institutions against global benchmarks, including curriculum standards, faculty expertise, facilities, and overall institutional quality.

For Cairo Ad School, the recognition follows 13 years of developing advertising-focused education and training programs aimed at preparing industry-ready talent.

The accreditation reflects the growing importance of specialized creative education as advertising industries across the region evolve and compete in an increasingly global market. Unlike traditional academic degrees, occupational advertising programs focus on practical skills, industry exposure, and direct preparation for professional careers in areas such as creative development, strategy, and communications.

For Egypt and the wider MENA region, the recognition represents a significant step in strengthening the region’s position as a source of advertising talent. It signals that local education platforms can meet international standards and provide training pathways that allow emerging creatives and professionals to compete in global markets without necessarily seeking education abroad.

The development comes at a time when agencies and brands are increasingly looking for talent equipped with both creative capabilities and an understanding of global industry practices. Accredited local institutions can play a role in bridging that gap by connecting education more closely with the needs of the advertising ecosystem.

Cairo Ad School is expected to formally announce the accreditation in the coming days.

Beyond the institutional milestone, the accreditation highlights a broader shift: the region’s advertising industry is not only producing campaigns for global audiences, but increasingly building the talent infrastructure needed to sustain its creative ambitions.
