Across the SWANA region, independent artists are creating and producing music that resonates with audiences worldwide. Despite their global recognition, many still lack the knowledge of music IP rights, and the resources needed to manage and collect on the value of their works. Songwriters in particular have long overlooked publishing and often missed out on the royalties they are entitled to, relying primarily on the distribution of their sound recordings.

Tiny House Music’s mission aims to address this gap.

Founded by Lebanese independent artist and producer Etyen aka Samer Etienne El Chami, Tiny House Music (THM) is an independent music company operating across publishing, distribution and intellectual property rights.

Established in 2019 as a record label under Thawra Records, Tiny House Music has since expanded its services to include publishing, distribution, licensing, release management and neighboring rights collection. The company collaborates with leading names in the region such as Bu Kolthoum, Khansa, Blu Fiefer, Mayssa Jallad and SANAM, as well as a plethora of emerging artists, helping them own their rights while collecting the full value of their earnings.

This May, Tiny House Music is launching its new publishing administration platform, building on more than seven years of hands-on experience. The first of its kind in the region, the platform is accessible to all independent music creators and specifically designed to democratize publishing rights and demystify the knowledge around music copyrights. This initiative responds to a noticeable lack in both awareness and access to publishing resources & opportunities, despite their importance as a vital revenue stream for songwriters.

Designed as an inclusive system, the platform acts as a central tool for independent artists and songwriters to register, manage, and protect their compositions and publishing rights, while maintaining full ownership of their work. The all-in-one service allows them to track and collect their royalties worldwide, better understand how their music generates multiple incomes across different rights, and build sustainable careers

“As an independent artist starting out in 2012, I had to navigate the complexities of the music business

entirely on my own” shares Samer Etienne El Chami.

“Understanding intellectual property was a steep learning curve, and for years it meant missing out on earned income.   Tiny House Music was born from that frustration, and this platform is the ultimate result of that journey.   We built it so other songwriters don't have to face the same obstacles. We’re giving them the tools to claim  their rights, collect their revenue, and focus on what matters most: creating music.”

Tiny House Music remains committed to providing a strong infrastructure for rights management and royalty collection, particularly for independent music creators in the SWANA music scene.

With the official platform launch on May 18, THM is a step closer toward building the framework for copyright protection that the region desperately needs

Independent artists from the regional scene are establishing themselves as powerful voices in global music. THM’s platform exists to make sure they're fully rewarded for it.
