After Three Decades, Jay Nehme Bids Farewell to The Talkies

After more than three decades with The Talkies and the production of over 1,500 television commercials across Lebanon, the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond, Jay Nehme has announced the close of a long, beautiful, and unforgettable chapter in his career.

In a message shared on social media, Nehme reflected on his journey, saying: “The Talkies was never just a job. It was a family that welcomed me as a junior assistant in 1993 and trusted me enough to become a partner along the way. It was also a home—filled with unforgettable shoots, lasting memories, and moments that shaped who I am today. From sleepless nights on set to fine-tuning ideas, solving endless challenges, brainstorming, editing, and traveling to places one only visits once in a lifetime, this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. It challenged me, rewarded me, and taught me lessons I will carry forever.”

Nehme extended special thanks to his “brother and partner,” Gabriel Chamoun, whose vision, leadership, and belief played a pivotal role throughout the years.

Looking ahead, Nehme revealed that he will be launching a new independent venture and plans to share more details in the coming weeks.
